WELCOME TO MUD FEST! This is an amazing festival that Korea throws every year. Apparently Mud Fest started as a beauty festival in the early 1990's because the mud has beautifying properties and its good for your skin. Somehow it turned into a pretty crazy party! These are pictures of the "mud zone" it wad full of blow up bouncy houses, slides, wrestling pools, mud pools, and obstacle courses.
Here are the crazy slides.
Lol, Oh Korea, you had to rise your feet off before entering the mud pool. :)
Here is the obstacle course, you can see a few people in action.
This is the line waiting for the course. Look at all the people covered in mud!
The beginning of the obstacle course. This is where I ripped my dress when I went through it. Don't worry I was wearing my swimsuit. But as soon as I went through that little hole both straps came tearing right off. I still did kinda good in the race... I wasn't last! :p
Here's more of the fest. What a muddy good time!
People trying to shower off the mud. Why didn't they just jump in the beautiful, warm ocean?
Here Danielle and I are before the mud!
This one is a bit fuzzy but it shows the mud pretty well.
Here's the group we were hanging out with! Kayla and I were still pretty muddy but Danielle and Rafael jumped into a mud pool and amazingly it cleaned them off a little.
Danielle and I!
A muddy selfie! :p
By the Mud plaza rock.
Another selfie.
Last selfie. I'm so crazy happy that I made it to mud fest! What a great weekend! After we went to the mudzone we headed down to the ocean to rise off. The water felt wonderful, like warm bath water and the waves were huge. It made me think of the wave pools at Noahs Arc except this shit was real! Lol.
After cleaning off we were walking back to our Pension and we came to a giant beach dance party! I felt like I was on set for a Rihanna video. There were about 300 people dancing to a big DJ while we were being sprayed with water from some hoses. It was for real awesome. You all know how much I enjoy dancing and whipping my hair back and forth.
Here Danielle and I are enjoying our night. We drank quite a bit which besides the mud is the point of mud fest. This was our awesome hangout spot on the roof. Here I had some good banter, drinking fun and an inappropriate game of "Never Have I Ever". I made some new friends and it was one of their birthdays! We celebrated that one quite well. I also met a man from Wisconsin that was defiantly drinking "wisconsibly".
Here are my really shitty pictures of the fireworks. Believe me they really do not do them any kind of justice. Korea always does it big! The fireworks were synchronized to music. One of the songs was old school Mariah. Oh god. I was in heaven.
