Jagalchi Fish Market

Today we took a nice little trip to see the Jagalchi Fish market which is the biggest fish market in Korea!

Here I am at the fish market!
Here are lots of pictures of seafood!

These are some giant sized crabs!

This lady was fishing one out to try to sell it to us!

An octopus trying to escape!

Squids

Stone fish

While we were at the market we saw lots of eels. The skin the eels alive and let them squirm around in a bowl until someone wants to eat it and then they grill it up.

This machine was making rice cakes. It would smash the rice into a cake shape and then shoot it out into the basket. This is an action shot of it being shot out.

Here is the area where you look at the seafood, pick some up and then they cook it up for you!

We chose this place and picked out a bunch of different stuff. We picked out a fish, an octopus, and eel, and some different sea shell looking things.

Here he is removing the scales.

Here is our yummy food!

He's gutting our fish

Cleaning it and then we were taken upstairs to eat!

Here is our table. I went with Lindsey and Tony and we were all excited to eat our food!

I picked out the meat from this little seashell. I was a little nervous to eat it but it was super yummy!

Here's our eel

Our cooked up octopus

Our sea shells, filled with meaty goodness

This was not as delish. We ate the meat on the right but the stuff on the left was so bad that Lindsey spit it out.

Our fish all cooked up. It was so delish and fresh! I mean 10 minutes before it was swimming in the tank. Lindsey ate its eyes... I ate its cheeks. :p

Our demolished fish. Oh so yummy. What a good adventure!

  1. Good thing you like seafood... I do too! I like to put a little lemon on mine. The best fish I ever had was Grouper. Try that if they have any. Thanks for sharing....
